OUT FOR CONTEXT

The sculptures made by Josep Maria Subirachs, for the façade of the Passion, in the Sagrada Familia (Barcelona), the work of the architect Antoni Gaudí, taken out of context, can lead us to different interpretations, far removed from how the author conceived them, for a religious construction.
The sculptural stone cut, in straight planes, creates a harsh and apocalyptic environment, which contrasts sharply with the scene: the arm surrounds the other person and with the hand caresses the hair, drawing the face until the cheeks or lips are in contact. . A gesture of love, of affection between older people for his dense beard and his marked wrinkles.
The background of society is still made of the same material as us, since people are the ones who decide with our actions how we want our environment to be, in this case as harsh and apocalyptic as we are.
The often misnamed "culture" makes people stand out, they create differential facts between them; by social status, language, skin, the country where they live, and all those "cultures" that influence the division and confrontation between people.
People, humans, are made up of the same organs and we are only differentiated by the melanin that covers the pigmentation of our skin, but nothing else, something not chosen by us. The feelings before an event are the same for everyone, we complain about the pain, we cry before the vicissitudes of life, or we laugh for it and we all yearn for happiness.
In this society, there are ambiguities, toxic and interested relationships and a kiss can represent betrayal, and lies, like the "Kiss of Judas".
